"Mad Men" Emmy Award winner Jon Hamm has joined the cast of the Apple TV+ series "The Morning Show."

The streaming service announced Wednesday that in the upcoming third season of the TV-news backstage drama, Hamm, 51, will play Paul Marks, a corporate titan intent on controlling the UBA network, entangling "Morning Show" anchors Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) and network chief Cory Ellison (Billy Crudup). Season 3 is scheduled to go into production later this month.

The streamer says the new season finds the team of the UBA morning show "emerging from the wreckage of Alex and Bradley's actions, to a new UBA and a world in flux, where identity is everything and the chasm between who we present as and who we really are comes into play."
