More fall-out from that Wednesday blow-out with Kanye West on "Today" - he was angered after the show aired an on-screen still of the Taylor Swift smack-down while Matt was trying to suck an apology out of him for calling George W. Bush a racist.
("How am I supposed to talk if you're going to be running this thing in the middle while I'm
talking?"")
He has canceled the Nov. 26 concert.
It was to be a rather big deal - day after Thanksgiving; on the plaza; lots of tourists; help to sell new album; assuming there is one; so forth.
And so it goes. Matt was actually pretty tough on him and you could tell he basically wanted to get up and leave during the exchange. Honestly, I don't recall ever seeing Matt turn so frosty on an interview subject - his eyes squinted, he looked at Kanye like "You'd better come clean NOW." It was quite odd, actually. Maybe Matt was still mad about Taylor...
