Kiefer Sutherland is officially coming back to Fox.
The former "24" star's pilot, "Touch," has been picked up for 13 episodes and will premiere in the spring, the network announced.
The series, which is produced by "Heroes" creator Tim Kring, stars Sutherland as widower and single father Martin Bohm, who struggles to communicate with his mute 11-year-old son. Through the help of a social worker, Bohm discovers that Jake has an extraordinary ability to see what others can't and finds patterns in seemingly unrelated events.
Danny Glover co-stars as a professor specializing in children who have his own extraordinary power.
"Every once in a while, you encounter a piece of material that you just cannot say no to," Sutherland said of the series.
