(AP) — Kim Kardashian has obtained a temporary restraining order against a man she describes as "extremely delusional," court records show.

Kardashian's attorneys obtained a stay-away order Tuesday against Dennis Shaun Bowman, 26. It prohibits Bowman from trying to contact the reality television star in any way, including via Twitter.

Kardashian, 29, is a celebrity model and pitchwoman and stars in the E! series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." Her filings state Bowman has repeatedly showed up her appearances, sometimes in facepaint depicting him as the Joker character from "Batman" fame.

She sought the order after Bowman allegedly ignored cease-and-desist letters from her attorney and orders from Los Angeles police to stop pursuing her.

"I am extremely frightened by Mr. Bowman because he appears to be obsessed with me and is extremely delusional," Kardashian wrote in a declaration.

According to the filing, Bowman told Kardashian that he is interested in a romantic relationship and sends her numerous messages a day, saying they are in love and will get married.

Her filing detailed a series of close encounters in which Bowman tried to reach Kardashian at promotional appearances — some of which were promoted by her on Twitter. In some cases he arrived too late or was turned away by security, the court filings state.

Bowman did not immediately return an e-mail message seeking comment. Attempts to find a phone listing for him were unsuccessful.

Kardashian is the daughter of late Los Angeles attorney Robert Kardashian, who gained fame for helping to represent O.J. Simpson after the former football star was accused of murder.
