Writer-producer Larry David says he likely won't do another season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," the 2000-11 HBO comedy in which he also starred.

"I guess, right now, the odds would be against it, probably 6 to 1," David, 67, told Grantland.com Tuesday.

Stung by the poor reception accorded the finale of "Seinfeld," which he wrote, he also did not anticipate a "Curb" finale.

"I got so much grief from the 'Seinfeld' finale, which a lot of people intensely disliked, that I no longer feel a need to wrap things up. . . . I wouldn't say I'm mad about it, but it taught me a lesson that if I ever did another show, I wasn't going to wrap it up."

"Curb" ran for eight 10-episode seasons.
