Lauren Alaina is singing "Natural Woman" on "American Idol." It's a good song choice. Strolls out relaxed, looking like a rocker gone country.

Great tone, just swells on the chorus. Yeah, she's back, the contender that blew everyone away in the audition round. Would've been nice to have had some more energy throughout, but she's powerful at the end with a big last note.

Her top fan Steven Tyler says "I think you're great." Jennifer Lopez found it "amazing," Randy Jackson says that was a tough song to sing, "good job," even if she didn't go all out, he says.

Christian Slater is randomly in the crowd, looking a bit lost.
