Lauren Alaina told to 'be great' by Beyonce on 'American Idol'

Lauren Alaina is doing "Wild One" next on "American Idol." Beyonce wants her to do something fun, to loosen her up.

She gives Lauren some advice, to create a character before she goes on stage. She's really frank and down-to-earth and tells her to "be great."

Not a great song choice, though, and she's wearing these big flower earrings. Totally feels like we're at the fairgrounds tonight, no creativity or interesting song choices.

Jennifer Lopez tells her it was good. Randy Jackson likes Beyonce's advice about getting yourself revved up, calls it a "nice" song choice but says you're at your best when you let yourself go. Steven Tyler loves her, as always.
