Lee DeWyze closes down "American Idol" with "Hallelujah," as picked by Simon Cowell. Oh baby, strap in your seat belts, this could be a greaaaaat moment. Can't wait!

Wow; this is really nice. His mumbly-style meshes well with his ability to bust it out big, and his obvious passion. I wish it was a little more stripped down, without the backing singers and all the smoke and lights.

Strong ending, big applause. I don't think he quite got the moment; but... still one of the greatest performances of a subpar season. Audience goes nuts, though.

Randy exults, loved Simon's song choice, calls it his biggest moment. Ellen says it was "stunning." Kara loved it, "epic moment, the heart of this show this season, and you just owned this entire night."

Simon says he's "very, very, very proud of you," and calls him a "fantastic person."

I think they're all drinking their own Kool-Aid; it was very good, not great; Jason Castro's version was better.
