Lee DeWyze 'crushes' Crystal Bowersox and Casey James on 'American Idol'

Lee DeWyze singing "Simple Man" on "American Idol," keeps getting interrupted by his screaming fans. Says he likes picking something he can understand... all I know is his voice soars from the get-go, it's by far the best tonight.

Passionate, deliberate, everyone's quiet and listening. My gosh, he's come a long way; even a little swagger as he plays the guitar. Looks like he's just enjoying his time up there; perfect choice, fits his voice really well.

Randy loves the song choice, likes how he looks like a winner. Ellen says you were "like a little baby lamb," now you're all springy and carefree. Kara says you "showed us everything you've got, round one goes to Lee."

Simon asks why he chose it, he says he's happy when he plays it and really gets into it; Simon then says "that song was absolutely on the money -- I don't think you won round one... I think you crushed the other two."
