Joe Halderman, the former "CBS News" producer who was convicted of attempting to blackmail and extort David Letterman, has landed a job -- with the Discovery Networks' channel, Investigation Discovery. He's working for "On the Case with Paula Zahn." This was reported by TVNewser a short while ago, which also had this statement:
Halderman was indeed a highly regarded "CBS News" producer before he undertook a bizarre extortion attempt against Letterman in the fall of 2009 -- threatening to reveal his multiple affairs if he didn't pay $2 million. Halderman was later caught in a sting, indicted, and served four months at Riker's last year.
