"American Idol" puts the 100 contestants in four rooms, just 50 will advance. Ashley Sullivan, Brett Loewenstern, Long Island's Robbie Rosen, Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Clint Jun Gamboa and Jacee Badeaux are all in the first room -- so for sure they will all advance. Judges do the usual trickery to try and stress them out even more -- and they all move on!

Room two has Chelsee Oaks, faces I don't recognize -- so it's clear they're not moving on, and sure enough, Steven Tyler just says "I'm sorry, you didn't make it."

Randy Jackson gives them a pep talk, keep trying. And room three is gone too -- oooh, brother Mark Gutierrez is out, too bad.

So room four advances, right? Weird, they usually build drama better than this. The room explodes in joy; Carson Higgins, Julie Zorrilla, Rachel Zevita, Scotty McCreery.

Next week they gotta sing Beatles songs to make the top 24.

I didn't feel like we really lost anyone big tonight; put your thoughts in the comments, below.
