Lindsay Lohan to star in Netflix romcom, 'Irish Wish'

In newly released details about her upcoming Netflix romantic comedy "Irish Wish," Long Island-raised Lindsay Lohan plays a woman despondent over the love of her life marrying her best friend.
Lohan's character, Maddie, "puts her feelings aside to be a bridesmaid at their wedding in Ireland," the streaming service said Thursday. "Days before the pair are set to marry, Maddie makes a spontaneous wish for true love, only to wake up as the bride-to-be. With her dream seeming to come true, Maddie soon realizes that her real soul mate is someone else entirely."
Shooting on location in Ireland, the film is the first of two planned movies Lohan, 36, is doing for Netflix in addition to her holiday romcom, "Falling for Christmas," streaming Nov. 10. That film's director, Janeen Damian, also helms "Irish Wish," which she co-wrote with her filmmaker-singer and former soap-opera star husband Michael Damian and others.
Lohan, who was raised in Cold Spring Harbor and Merrick, has not commented on social media about the new film.
