Why (you reasonably ask) will Lindsay Lohan be hosting "Saturday Night Live" March 3? Jeremy Lin otherwise engaged?
But the fact is the fact - absent a movie to promote or otherwise any other compelling reason other than career rehabilitation, Lohan will in fact return to "SNL" for the fourth time (last in 2006) next month. (Words of advice to "SNL:" Make sure she shows up. David Letterman also booked her recently.)
The news broke last night on the show, while Lohan herself tweeted confirmation. Needless to say, it's a huge break for her - "SNL" is having a reasonably good season, creatively, so there's no reason to assume this will be a disaster along the lines of Lana Del Rey a couple of weeks ago (or is there reason to assume?) And if she's game there's plenty of material for the stafff to work with - may be too much
. "SNL! I love @NBC !!!!!!!!!!!!!" she tweeted last night (and NBC confirmed, saying Jack White will be the musical guest) but it's not entirely clear she's always loved NBC: "SNL" has punch-bagged her for years, like all late-nighters, and she even took considerable umbrage to a Miley Cyrus skit a year or so ago that made her out to be a felonious bimbo.
