Helping to pad out Thursday night's results show, we were treated to the finalists working on a cut for the latest “Ice Age” and cutting up while doing it. Lisa Marie Presley then showed up to do a black and bluesy number (she wore black, the song was bluesy) from her new album.

Jimmy Iovine’s critique of Jessica Sanchez was the follow-up to Lisa Marie. Jimmy felt Jessica didn’t have a magic moment with any of her songs from Wednesday’s show, even though he added “Jessica could sing at the Grammys.” If she does land a spot in the finale, she’s got to pick strong songs, he said.

After a nod to Donna Summer, who died earlier Thursday -- with comments from audience members Rita Wilson, Carole Bayer Sager and Iovine about her influence on dance music -- current dance music divo Adam Lambert, season 8's runner-up performed his new single "Never Close Our Eyes." His robust performance got some extra oomph from a giant eye backdrop and plenty of eyeliner.
