OK, friends...herewith Jenny Caruso's thoughts on last night's "Lost;"  JC, as you know, is Ronkonkoma's own, and self-described "Long Island's Greatest 'Lost' Fan."  I'll get mine up by noon...

This was definitely my favorite episode of the season so far.  I always enjoy the episodes that focus more on character development than scientific explanations. I believe that the most important element of the show is the existential development of each of our castaways, and this episode definitely seemed to focus on this. Of course we did not get a ton of answers tonight, but I think this episode is the backbone of a really interesting story.

The Caves

It was great to be back at the caves. The whole episode had a sort of nostalgic feel to it, as if we had time-traveled back to Season 1. It’s interesting to think back to where these
characters started, and see how far they have come. Unfortunately, Jack’s thick-headed
impulsivity does not seem to have evolved much. Just as he smashed his father’s coffin back in Season 1, he was smashing Jacob’s mirror tonight. Come on Jack, get a hold of yourself!

Claire’s Friend

Claire is so creepy now! I totally don’t trust her. Jin must share my feelings because he lied in order to lure her into the temple so that he is protected from her. Jacob told Hurley that someone bad is coming to the temple. Is this Claire and her “friend”, the artist formally known as John Locke? The show is obviously going to come down to a fight of good versus evil, but how do we know which side is which? Right now my heart goes out to Team Jacob, however I’m sure Darlton will twist us around a few times.

Kate Love Triangle Update

Kath seemed sort of aloof tonight. She didn’t seem to have a problem leaving Jack, and seems to have given up hope on Sawyer. I’m sure this won’t last very long.
