'Mad Men' premiere for season 6 lowest since 2008
Sunday's season 6 premiere of AMC's "Mad Men" was the series' lowest-rated season-opener since 2008, according to The Hollywood Reporter. On a TV-viewing night highlighted by a pivotal episode of HBO's "Game of Thrones" and a shirtless Zac Efron on the MTV Movie Awards, "Mad Men" drew just 2.3 million viewers, down 1.1 million from the season 5 premiere and it was the series' least-watched premiere since season 2, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Though a darling among critics, "Mad Men" has never attracted audiences as large as other AMC shows such as "Breaking Bad" and "The Walking Dead."
