More Letterman and Joaquin: The clip

Here's the clip from "Late Show with David Letterman" and Joaquin Phoenix. This is actually pretty interesting because Letterman claims his lawyers had actually contacted Phoenix's when they wanted to use the 2009 clip; Phoenix's lawyers said it was "fair use" because it was going to be in a documentary. [Hmmm...I'm not sure that's exactly true.] Anyway, Dave than pointed out it was not a documentary and demanded his fee ...

"Can we talk about this privately?" Phoenix wondered.

Sure, Dave said, "we can talk about it at one of your screenings..."
