Moving Image Museum salutes Henson's 75th
JIM HENSON SALUTE TODAY Today would have been the 75th birthday of Muppets creator Jim Henson (who died in 1990 at 53). The Museum of the Moving Image celebrates at its renovated Astoria facility, which through Jan. 16 hosts the exhibition "Jim Henson's Fantastic World." Weekend events include screenings of "Muppet Music Moments" today and Sunday at 1 p.m. (with Henson collaborators), and "Being Elmo" Sunday at 4:30 p.m. (with puppeteer Kevin Clash).
