NBC lineup: No huge changes

By the way, NBC announced its lineup earlier and no new changes to report. Here's the story in Monday's Newsday, but -sorry to be the bearer of bad news for fans, "Harry's Law" is gone, and so is "Awake," which I had high hopes for, and I suspect NBC did as well.
Of course, new comedies -- easier sell to viewers than dramas -- but consider that a cyclical part of the business. If they don't click, you'll be reading about dramas this time next year. ("Smash," as with last season -- arrives in the new year.)
Expect no huge changes for NBC's fall 2012 lineup, which you can read as:
1. We're so darned happy with what we've got that there's no need to change much.
2. It's doesn't matter what we do because this is still gonna be a long hard slog back, (Find best answer behind door No. 2.)
Yes, new comedies were added, and a pair of dramas were dumped -- notably "Awake," a solid newcomer that not enough people watched, and "Harry's Law" with Kathy Bates. Otherwise, this lineup looks reasonably familiar:
Monday: "The Voice," "Revolution,"starring Billy Burke of "The Twilight Saga," about a post-apocalyptic world that isn't so apocalyptic at all -- after something had made all power shut down worldwide, 15 years later, the world is back to normal, only better. But who caused the shutdown? (And don't worry about "Smash" -- it's coming back, midseason, probably in January. That was always expected.)
Tuesday: "The Voice," "Go On," with Matthew Perry, described as a misery-loves-company sitcom, it's about a former sportscaster who lost his wife, joins a support group and creates general havoc. "The New Normal," the Ryan Murphy, of "Glee," sitcom about a gay Beverly Hills couple looking to become fathers, starring Ellen Barkin; "Parenthood."
Wednesday: "Animal Practice," with Justin Kirk, of "Weeds." and Tyler Labine, about a New York veterinarian who is unorthodox. "Guys with Kids," produced by Jimmy Fallon, of all people, about new dads struggling with their new dad-dom. "Law & Order: SVU," and "Chicago Fire," a drama about "the firefighters, rescue squad and paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51"
Thursday: "30 Rock." "Up all Night," "The Office," "Parks and Rec," and "Rock Center."
Friday: "Whitney," "Community," "Grimm," and "Dateline."
Saturday: Repeats Sunday: Football.
