'NCIS:' TV's new champ
"NCIS" had an incredible night last night: 23 million viewers. Let that sink in: 23 million viewers. This is TV's champ. It's really quite an amazing feat for a series that has been around nearly a decade. A decade! (2003 to be exact.) It's had its ups, its downs - Mark Harmon almost nearly left at one point over a raging battle with Don Bellisario (believe they've since patched up matters), and now this. 'Course much credit has to go to Bellisario and Don McGill (co-creators). "NCIS" is just about bigger, and certainly hotter, than "American Idol." So why doesn't IT get all the press?
