'American Idol' is in giant Cowboys stadium in Dallas, with Neil Patrick Harris and his dry wit as guest judge. They're looking for the next Kelly Clarkson, instead start with someone rejected from that same first season, Julie Kevelighan.
It's a bad rendition of "Black Velvet," Neil criticizes her hand-written sign first, then says, "vocally, that was not good." Simon pans her "outfit, make-up and singing," but she keeps singing, until she's escorted out by security.
"That was just annoying," says Neil. Welcome to Idol, Neil.
