Nelson DeMille’s John Corey novels optioned for TV by ABC
Fans of John Corey, the pugnacious NYPD homicide detective created by Garden City author Nelson DeMille, may soon find him on their TV screens.
As reported by Deadline Hollywood, and announced by the author in his email newsletter, ABC has optioned the Corey books, including the bestsellers “Plum Island” and “The Lion’s Game.”
The series will be produced by Mace Neufeld, who also produced the 1999 John Travolta film “The General’s Daughter,” based on the DeMille novel.
DeMille says that no actor has been cast in the John Corey role, and there is no date set for the pilot yet.
