“Wet Hot American Summer” is about to be in season again at Netflix.

The streaming service announced on Wednesday that it is ordering a new series based on the 2001 cult movie comedy about the goings-on among campers and counselors at a fictional summer camp. The series, to be titled “Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later,” will take place a decade after the feature film that featured Amy Poehler, Elizabeth Banks, Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper and David Hyde Pierce, among others.

Last year, Netflix brought back many of the movie’s stars for “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp,” an eight-episode series that was set a few weeks before the film. “Ten Years Later” will also take place over eight episodes and will take place during the early ’90s. The series will be written by “American Summer” creators David Wain and Michael Showalter, the creators of “Wet Hot American Summer” and is scheduled to premiere sometime next year.

Deadline.com is reporting that most of the original cast, which also includes Janeane Garofalo and Christopher Meloni, will return.
