New Year's Eve and Day TV highlights

Staying in Tuesday night? Recovering Wednesday? TV is there to help you toast the new year or revisit the old one.

Local broadcast channels stack up comedy tonight with "The Honeymooners" (11 p.m.-4 a.m., Wednesday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., WPIX/11) and "The Odd Couple" (midnight-7 a.m., Wednesday 9 a.m.-9 p.m., WLNY/55).

HBO and Cinemax show a season's worth of their shows "True Blood" (8 p.m.-6 a.m., HBO2), "The Newsroom" (8 p.m.-5 a.m., HBO Signature), "Veep" (8 p.m.-1 a.m., HBO Comedy), "Eastbound & Down" (8 p.m.-midnight, HBO Zone), "Banshee" (8 p.m.-5 a.m., MoreMax), and "Strike Back" (8 p.m.-4 a.m., ActionMax).

Music fills Turner Classic Movies, with vintage rock and roll all day, from Chuck Berry's "Go, Johnny, Go!" (9:30 a.m.) to Elvis Presley's "Jailhouse Rock" and "Viva Las Vegas" (4:45 and 6:30 p.m.), followed by old-Hollywood musical numbers in the clipseries "That's Entertainment!" (8 p.m.-5 a.m.).

Pilots and first episodes of classic TV shows are collected in hourlong blocks Wednesday on Antenna TV (11 a.m.-Thursday 7 a.m.), including "Mister Ed," "Green Acres," "I Dream of Jeannie," "Bewitched" and "All in the Family."

Reality fans can feast on "Dance Moms" (8 a.m.-8 p.m., Lifetime), leading into 8 p.m.'s recap and 9 p.m.'s season premiere.
