Since 2017, News 12 Long Island has lost many on-air reporters and anchors — some of whom built the station, then defined it for generations of the region's viewers. They left for various reasons — buyouts and cutbacks, retirement, new opportunities. Last week, 25-year veteran reporter/anchor Elizabeth Hashagen and meteorologist Samantha Augeri pulled up stakes.

Here are 23 of the best-known on-air personalities who have left over the past decade, with their time at News 12 in parentheses.
