Colton Dixon up next on "American Idol," talks before his final performance about his sister Schyler not making it this far with him -- he originally showed up just to support his sister but wound up auditioning.

She was cut last round; he dedicates "Fix You" to her. And ... is through. Has presence, serious about the music. Hugs his sister, in tears; "I have an amazing big brother" she says. Great story.

New York City's own Briel von Hugel, whose stage mom really needs to just fade away, up next. She's got a great voice, even if her personality is a bit annoying and combative.

"Certainly has the moxie of a star, but she has to prove she also has the skills," says Ryan Seacrest.

Wow, does "Killing Me Softly With His Song," totally distinctive and well-done. Is through! Big and loud celebration with her mom afterwards; such a New Yorker, actually -- brash and obnoxious ... but also talented.
