Nielsen: 67.2M saw presidential debate
Wednesday night's debate between President Barack Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney was seen by 67.2 million viewers -- 28 percent more than the first debate between John McCain and Obama in 2008, per Nielsen, which said this figure comprised the total of roughly 11 networks. More statistics: of those 67.2 million, 30.8 million were over age 55, while 12.1 million were in the 18-34 demographic. (No surprise: Debates always draw older viewers.)
