Nielsen's top 20 TV 'events' (hint - it's an annoying list)

Nielsen in collaboration with Sony has just released a list of the top 20 events of the last umpteen years, and if it's guaranteed to do anything, it will do this: Annoy and amuse. How so? Casey Anthony's murder trial verdict outranks JFK's funeral.

In other words, this list is completely useless.

Of course, Nielsen explains that those over 55 rank the JFK assassination very high, while those under 30 -- of course -- do not. After all, how could they? 

So the point of this list would be ... what? To state the obvious?
