2012 is looking great already. (Kidding. Sort of.) The Globes can be fun but they have turned a tad smugly self-important. And what would Ricky Gervais do for an encore after all? Substance of a legal dispute between Dick Clark Productions and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association was in the pages of this morning's Times; It's all about money, of course. The Globies were mad because DC Productions cut a separate deal with NBC, and they didn't get a say-so ($$$$) in the matter. Whatever. Could go to trial late this year or next March, which wouldn't give 'em enough to mount a production.
