Paige Miles is all right, now

Hey there, welcome to the first liveblog of the “American Idol” regular season. Your regular host, Jamshid, is on a well-deserved vacation, so you’re stuck with me -- pop music writer Glenn Gamboa.

Paige Miles, who has been the mystery woman up until now, chooses Free's "All Right Now," which was kind of a mistake. Simon pegs her right away for the bad song choice, but says, “I think out of all the girls, you have the best voice.”

Kara says the song choice was fine for her, but wishes she did better with the chorus. Randy explains that the chorus needs a group behind it, which is right. But everyone, including Ellen, says she did a great job. Maybe we'll actually get to know Paige after all.
