Steven Tyler introduced the judges' pick for Phillip Phillips on "American Idol:" "Beggin'" by Madcon.

For the song, Phillips was in his element with his guitar and a full band backing him. His rendition gets the crowd going, cheering and dancing through his rock show.

Still, the judges didn't give him a standing ovation. Maybe their feet are tired? It seemed like the crowd was going crazy.

Randy Jackson puts it best.

"We were just at the Phil Phillips concert," he said. "You are who you are and we love it."

"It was great," Jennifer Lopez said with an air of surprise.

Tyler had some advice for Phillips:

"I'm really hoping your write your own songs," he said. "You could be a new Springsteen."

After his performance, the judges could not agree on who won the first round of the night, but the contestant's song choice is up next so maybe they will get some clarity then.
