Bob Seger was Jimmy Iovine's choice for Phillip Phillips final song on Wednesday's "Idol."
"That's you!" Phillips' dad says upon hearing the choice of "We've Got Tonight."
It was another slow one for Phillips but he handled it well. For the first time without his guitar all night, the rocker from Georgia wore all black and focused on his vocals.
The three judges gave Phillips a standing ovation, following Randy Jackson's lead, who hopped on his feet as soon as the song finished.
"It was really, really sweet," Jennifer Lopez said. "Like a lullaby."
It was redemption for Phillips who got major criticism from the judges in the previous round. The last song brought him back into the game.
