REDEMPTION LONG ISLAND. Merrick elementary-school teacher Christine E. Shields-Markoski, 39, this week became the second "Survivor: South Pacific" contestant to be banished to Redemption Island, where she'll eventually compete to return to the main event.
DANCING WITH THE PREZ? Former president Bill Clinton said on "The Rachael Ray Show" that he'd been invited to compete on "Dancing With the Stars" but had to turn it down. "This is interesting -- actually they contacted me once about this," he told Ray. "And I told them I didn't have the time to train for it. You know, you actually go out there and train -- you really work at it." He added, "Just last night Hillary said to me, 'You know, when I'm not secretary of state anymore, we should go take dancing lessons.' So we'll start with the tango."
PREMIERES. "Cake Boss" returns with Carlo's Bakery at a new location tonight at 10 on TLC . . . The tornado-hunters of "Storm Riders" ride back for season three on The Weather Channel tomorrow at 10 p.m. . . . "Mythbusters" returns Wednesday at 9 p.m. On Discovery . . . MTV's "The Real World: San Diego" -- by no means "The Jersey Shore West Coast," noooo -- hits the beach Wednesday night at 10 . . . Reality-show veteran "Boston Rob" Mariano takes on another sort of "Amazing Race" as he and co-star Dennis Anderson circumnavigate the globe in "Around the World in 80 Ways" on History, starting Sunday at 10 p.m. . . . and at 8 p.m. that night is TLC's "Little People Big World: Off To School," the first of four specials tying up cliffhangers from that canceled show.
