YO HO HO! There was buried treasure in a storage locker auctioned by Dan and Laura Dotson of A&E's "Storage Wars" earlier this month to a San Jose, Calif., man for just over $1,000. Per StorageAuctionGuru.com and subsequent reports, a deceased elderly woman's locker held a Rubbermaid container with an estimated $500,000 in gold doubloons and gold and silver bars. The find was so unexpected, the show's cameras weren't present.
'BACHELOR' BREAKUP, HOOKUP.Vienna Girardi, who became engaged to Jake Pavelka on ABC's "The Bachelor" and acrimoniously split up afterward, has ended her relationship with Kasey Kahl, with whom she appeared on "Bachelor Pad 2." Kahl tweeted, "Yes Vienna and I have split. It's been 5 weeks now. I can't fake it anymore. I will always love, be there for her, and wish her the best."
'JERSEY'? SURRRRE. A man has filed suit in Los Angeles claiming he met with MTV in 2006 to pitch a show called "Jersey Shore," complete with a video of "stereotypical young men and women from New Jersey who were spending their summer in and around the New Jersey shore beaches and cities." MTV did not respond to TMZ.com's request for comment.FINALE. Following the ouster of women's soccer star Hope Solo and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy on "Dancing With the Stars," this season winds up with a final performance show Monday night at 8 p.m. and a two-hour results show Tuesday night at 9.
PREMIERES. A two-part "Basketball Wives LA" reunion special airs Monday night and next Monday at 8 p.m. . . . Also tonight, the new HGTV interior-designer competition "Design Wars," debuts at 8. CBS has renewed the show for two more seasons, with Jeff Probst still as host despite his upcoming daytime talk show . . . Bonnie Griffin is off "The Biggest Loser" . . . Stacy Francis was eliminated from "The X Factor" . . . James Sommerfeldt was dumped from "Project Accessory" . . . Morgan "The Sucklord" Phillips -- that's what he calls himself -- was axed from "Work of Art: The Next Great Artist" . . . Keith Rhodes was cut from "Top Chef: Texas" . . . and Dominique Reighard will not be "America's Next Top Model."
