Repping for Dix Hills on Syfy's 'Face Off'
'FACE' OFF LONG ISLAND. When season two of Syfy's reality competition "Face Off" premieres Wednesday at 10 p.m., Sue Lee -- who was born in Queens and raised in Dix Hills, where she attended Half Hollow High School West -- will be among its 14 special-effects makeup artists.
"I initially wanted to do medical illustration and prosthetics," says Lee, 26, "but after I graduated college, Colgate University, I found out the job turnaround for that industry is very low and there were no jobs in New York. So I went back to school [to learn] to do something I really wanted to do."
'GIULIANA & BILL' BACK. The Style Network series "Giuliana & Bill" has been renewed for a fifth season, starting April 2 and promising behind-the-scenes footage of E! News co-anchor Giuliana Rancic's battle with breast cancer.
PREMIERES. Discovery follows freshly incarcerated inmates during their "First Week In," premiering Monday night at 9 . . . A&E's new trucking series, "Shipping Wars," premieres Tuesday with back-to-back episodes at 9 and 9:30 p.m. . . . Season two of "Dance Moms" debuts Tuesday night at 9 on Lifetime . . . "Kitchen Nightmare" returns from winter hiatus Friday at 8 p.m. on Fox . . . and "Pit Boss" returns for season three Saturday at 9 p.m.
RECAPS.Shira Scott, originally from Massapequa Park, was one of the women eliminated in the premiere of "The Bachelor" . . . Ben Shuh was voted off "The Biggest Loser" . . . Elisa Jimenez was cut from "Project Runway All Stars" . . . Chris Crary was eliminated from "Top Chef: Texas" . . . and Heather Macia will not be the "Next Great Baker."
