Romeo Diahn goes from refugee camp to 'American Idol'
Romeo Diahn, who immigrated from Liberia and spent a big chunk of his life living in a refugee camp, is up next on "American Idol."
He busts out with a gravely sweet tone on Bob Marley's "Is this Love?" and it's compelling and interesting to listen to.
I like him a lot. "Love your vibe and your flavor," says Jennifer Lopez, although she's worried if he can sing a wide range of songs. She gives him a "tiny yes," and the others send him through more enthusiastically.
He's got a great story. I hope he can stay in the competition.
