A rare failure for AMC - which has had it's share of success in the drama field, heaven knows: "Rubicon" has been dropped.

  The statement:

"'Rubicon" gave us an opportunity to tell a rich and compelling story, and we're proud of the series. This was not an easy decision, but we are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a phenomenally talented and dedicated team."

What happenended to "Rubicon?" Boy, if you know please let AMC know too because this one did seemed blessed out of the gate - with the exception of a high-level producer switch before launch (never a good sign.) It seemed to have it all - cast, heavy promotion, production, and a New York locale, including Long Island. It's difficult to bid farewell to any good show - doubly difficult for one that was set here and in NYC.

I know "Rubicon" developed a fan base, but I initially struggled with the show - found it smart and interesting but somewhat turgid. Turgid, by the way, is never a good sign either.

But still, a real shame...
