Ryan Seacrest persuades Crystal Bowersox not to quit 'American Idol'
According to a TMZ report earlier today, Season 9 favorite Crystal Bowersox almost quit a little more than two weeks ago when "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest quickly persuaded her not to, averting a potential disaster.
Crystal left the stage, went to the parking lot and told Ryan that she couldn’t handle the competition, was done with the spotlight and the media and was going back to Ohio to be with her family. She hated all of the attention and said, “What’s the point?”
Ryan told Crystal that being on "American Idol" was equivalent to starting a new business and the winner gets a recording contract and becomes a millionaire.
According to TMZ, he used a convincing argument to sway Crystal to stay. “The greatest thing I ever did was make enough money so I could buy my mom a house. You can buy your mom a house.”
Bottom line, Crystal didn’t quit, and Ryan saved the day.
