Scotty McCreery and his dad soar on 'American Idol'
Scotty McCreery gets assigned by the "American Idol" judges to sing "She Believes in Me." He's had a mediocore night in my opinion, nothing interesting or new.
Oooh, and then he soars on the chorus, and reminds us how good he can be. He needs to go for it more, and stop just doing what he knows he can.
Steven Tyler loved the chorus; Jennifer Lopez says "great job, baby"; Randy Jackson says keep stretching.
Ryan Seacrest gets Scotty's dad to sing "Baby lock them doors" at the end. It's pretty funny (and he can sing, too).
