Scotty McCreery finally delivers on 'American Idol'

Scotty McCreery is singing "I Love You This Big," which he'd release if he wins. It's slow, sincere and has the audience melting.

Best performance of the night for him, by far. This is what he should be singing. He's not throwing us all that fake attitude. I mean, it's not rocket science. Have him sing simple, hokey songs -- his base will love it, and he can pull it off. 

I predict this song is gonna go straight to the top of the charts; it's really not bad.

"Wow, man" says Randy Jackson. Calls it the perfect song for him, "a brilliant vocal," and then claims he's grown during the contest. Maybe he's taller?

Jennifer Lopez says it was "amazing" the way he told that story, and Steven Tyler says he put to rest any questions about his range.
