Seretha Guinn called a 'superstar' by Nicki Minaj on 'American Idol'

Seretha Guinn closes "American Idol" in Charlotte, so you know there's going to be a good back story.

Her boyfriend was in a serious car accident, has had eight surgeries; auditions with her young daughter, who's carrying a big stuffed "Hello Kitty" doll and is apparently a big Nicki Minaj fan.  

She's singing "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," a totally creative, jazzy take on it. Wow! Big smiles from the judges, gets us to hear the song in a new way.

She's crying as Minaj praises her afterward, calls her "a superstar." Randy Jackson says "I was blown away too, you have a Whitney thing," with Mariah Carey simply saying, "I absolutely loved you."
