There was a lot of chatter after that mid-season "South Park" finale - you remember, when an existentially fraught Cartman decided everything everywhere was s--- - that decided Matt Stone and Trey Parker were signalling their intent to end this oil gusher once and for all. After all: They were suddenly respectable Tony winners with one of the biggest hits on Broadway in years, and so forth. Who needed TV? 

 Well they do!
