Southern guy Phillip Phillips does Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson on 'American Idol'

Phillip Phillips, who works at his dad's pawn shop, closes out "American Idol" in Savannah. He's a nice southern boy, his dad -- also named Phillip Phillips -- is busting with pride over him.

He's doing "Superstition" and he sings a real soulful, sincere version. Has got a good look to him -- a big smile, but serious about his music. Yeah, he's one to watch.

He gets a "wow" from Jennifer Lopez. "It's like you have electricity going through your body!" she says.

He then picks up his acoustic guitar and starts playing "Thriller" for them, and it has the feel of a jam session. He's a strong musician and you can tell he lives and breathes this stuff.

"I just think you're really, really special ... makes everyone stop and stare," says Lopez.
