"STAR WARS" WEEKEND Wanna see all six feature films in George Lucas' space mythology? The three "prequel" films air together, led by "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" (films 1-3 air Saturday at 3, 6 and 9:30 p.m., plus Sunday at noon, 3 and 6:15 p.m., followed Sunday at 9:45 p.m. by film 4). The three original films also air together, led by 1977's original "Star Wars" (films 4-6 air Monday 10 a.m., 1 and 4 p.m., films 5-6 repeat Monday at 7 and 10 p.m., all on Spike). MARCH OF TIME Hard to believe in this instantaneous era, but Americans once got their news visuals at movie theaters via monthly newsreels. "The March of Time" (Sunday 8 p.m.-midnight, Turner Classic Movies) takes us back to these news digests with a four-hour collection of eight newsreels from 1937 to 1950, covering everything from World War II to women's beauty regimens. MUSIC AND MORE In addition to the songs and standup of this year's "Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon" (9 p.m. Sunday-7 p.m. Monday, WWOR/9), performances fill "Nickelodeon Mega Music Fest" (Monday at 8 p.m., Nickelodeon), featuring Justin Bieber and Wyclef Jean, and "Stand Up to Cancer" (Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. on most major channels), with Stevie Wonder, Queen Latifah, Martina McBride and many others.
REALITY PREMIERES Follow the former Scary Spice Girl and "Dancing With the Stars" contestant in "Mel B: It's a Scary World" (9 p.m. Sunday, Style). People who just eat sugar or cheeseburgers are "Freaky Eaters" (10 p.m. Sunday, TLC), confronting their obsessions. "Thintervention With Jackie Warner" (Monday at 10 p.m., Bravo) finds the "Work Out" host helping clients get healthy. "Beast Legends" (Sept. 9 at 10 p.m., Syfy) uses science to reconstruct mythical monsters like the Kraken and Fire Dragons.
LABOR DAY MARATHONS: DRAMA James Woods' legal drama "Shark" (Monday 3-10 p.m., ion/31) gets a free-TV broadcast run. Cable's Monday slate includes "Murder, She Wrote" (8 a.m.-4 a.m., Hallmark Movie Channel), "Lincoln Heights" (10 a.m.-8 p.m., TV One), "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" (11 a.m.-11 p.m., ABC Family), "Bones" (noon-8 p.m., TNT) and "NCIS" (noon-9 p.m., USA). MARATHONS: COMEDY Wake up Monday to a morning of "Bewitched" (8 a.m.-2 p.m., TV Land). MARATHONS: UNSCRIPTED Monday's all-day run leads into the final season premiere of "Little People, Big World" (6 a.m.-9 p.m., TLC). NEW FALL SHOWS! The fall season starts in earnest the week of Sept. 19. But The CW jumps the gun with new seasons of "America's Next Top Model" (Wednesday at 8 p.m.) and "The Vampire Diaries" (Sept. 9 at 8 p.m.). They lead in to the premieres of the college cheerleading saga "Hellcats" (Wednesday at 9 p.m.) and the hot-chick actioner "Nikita" (Sept. 9 at 9 p.m., all on CW/11). On original cable, the minds behind "The Shield" and "Ocean's 11" join forces for the funky private-eye dramedy "Terriers" (Wednesday at 10 p.m., FX), featuring Donal Logue, Michael Raymond-James, Laura Allen and Rockmond Dunbar.
