The child actor who played a pint-size Darth Vader in the hit Super Bowl commercial "The Force," for Volkswagen, told Meredith Vieira on the "Today" show Monday that he's never even seen the "Star Wars" films.

Max Page, 6, became a sudden celebrity after the spot, created by the ad agency Deutsch LA, became YouTube's most-viewed video for two days following its Wednesday pre-release. It racked up more than 16 million views worldwide by yesterday afternoon, said CBS News.

Page, who lives in Southern California, was born with a congenital heart defect. He had his first operation when he was 3 months old but now has a pacemaker, his mother said on "Today." He has also done commercials for Walgreens and Clear Communications, his mother said, though this was his first national spot.

The commercial shows a suburban child, dressed head to toe in black like the famed "Star Wars" villain, attempting to use The Force on the family dog, a washing machine and other objects. Dejected, he makes one last attempt on his father's newly arrived 2012 Passat - and to his astonishment, makes the engine turn over with a mild roar. In the kitchen, dad knowingly smiles at mom, the car's remote control in his hand.
