With the MLB All-Star Game taking place this week (Tuesday on Fox 5), we decided to look at some of the TV appearances that our favorite all-stars have made outside of the batter's box:
1. WILLIE MAYS The Giants-Mets centerfielder appeared three times on "The Donna Reed Show" (1964-66) and once on "Bewitched" (1966), "My Two Dads" (1989) and "Mr. Belvedere" (1989).
2. MICKEY MANTLE The Yankees' legendary centerfielder showed up on "Hee Haw" (1971, well he was an Oklahoma boy), "The White Shadow" (1980), "Remington Steele" (1984) and "Mr. Belvedere" (1989, the same episode in which the "Say Hey Kid" also appeared).
3. YOGI BERRA The Yankees-Mets' gnomish manager guested on three shows, nearly 50 years apart: "The Phil Silvers Show" (1957), "Arli$$" (2002) and "The Tony Danza Show" (2005).
4. KEITH HERNANDEZ Who can ever forget the Cards-Mets first baseman's appearance on "The Boyfriend" episode of "Seinfeld" (1992)?
5. MIKE PIAZZA The Dodgers-Mets catcher played himself on "Married . . . With Children" (1994) and "Baywatch" (1995).
