Take 5: School-themed shows that set a president

Across Long Island this week and next kids are heading back to school, and as they hit the books in their social studies classes, many will be learning about our esteemed presidents. What better way to mark the occasion than to give a shout out to five chief executives who have lent their names to TV schools.
William McKinley - Well, the 25th president was a proud Ohioan, so that explains why the high school in "Glee" (set in Lima) honors Big Bill. But "Freaks and Geeks," the late-'90s cult classic, also had a McKinley High and it was set in Michigan.
James Buchanan - Gabe Kotter (Gabe Kaplan) was a student and then a teacher at this Brooklyn high school on "Welcome Back, Kotter."
Millard Fillmore - Howard Hesseman's geniuses on "Head of the Class" graduated from a Manhattan school named for the much-maligned 13th president, as did Greg and Marcia on "The Brady Bunch." (The school on "Head" was first called Monroe High - yet another prez - and changed in the final episode.)
Thomas Jefferson - How appropriate that three shows from three different decades - "Mr. Peepers" (1950s), "Mr. Novak" (1960s) and "Happy Days" (1970s) honored our third president.
Woodrow Roosevelt - There was technically no president with this name. But leave it to those jokers on "Batman" to name the high school attended by Dick Grayson (Bruce Wayne's youthful ward) after this hybrid White House resident.
