"House" returns for its eighth season Monday night (9 p.m. on Fox/5). And while we're big fans of Hugh Laurie's bedside-manner-challenged title character, we're also quite partial to House's only true friend, Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard, right). So let's give props to him here as we salute five other TV Wilsons, both real and fictional.

1. WILSON WILSON -- Earl Hindman played Tim Taylor's philosophizing neighbor on "Home Improvement," whose lower face was never seen by the viewer (until the show's final episode).

2. GEORGE WILSON -- Crotchety next-door neighbor on "Dennis the Menace," played by Joseph Kearns, who died midway through the show's run.

3. FLIP WILSON -- The eminent comic whose variety show was a huge hit in the early 1970s and whose catchphrase, "The devil made me do it," became part of the vernacular.

4. ANNIE WILSON -- Shenae Grimes' troubled-teen character, whose family relocates from Wichita to Beverly Hills in the 21st century reboot of "Beverly Hills, 90210"

5. RAINN WILSON -- The man who brings beet-growing, martial-arts-loving Dwight Schrute to life each week on "The Office."
