Co-host Tayshia Adams misses 'Bachelorette' finale because of COVID
"The Bachelorette" co-host Tayshia Adams missed the live finale of season 18 Tuesday night because she had contracted COVID-19.
"Miss being with my @BacheloretteABC family tonight!!" Adams, 31, the star of season 16, tweeted Tuesday soon after the episode began. "Was recently exposed here in NYC and out of abundance of caution, I didn't travel to ensure all are safe on set!"
Referring to star Michelle Young, who chose Nayte Olukoya in the finale, Adams wrote, "Tonight is your night @michelleyoung, I'm here in NYC rooting for you as always!!"
The same day, in a video on Instagram stories, where posts cycle out after 24 hours, Adams said, "As you guys may know it's a little crazy here in New York and I was recently exposed, so just as an abundance of caution for Michelle to have her night, as well as [co-host] Kaitlin [Bristowe] and all the crew to produce this live finale tonight. I will not be there in person. But that does not mean I will not be tuning in, popping my popcorn, enjoying it all." Bristowe, 36, star of season 11, on Wednesday wrote in graphical text on Instagram Stories, "Tayshia I missed you last night."
