TCA: Expect J-Lo 'Idol' news Friday

   The Fox executive session — where news does break out on occasion — arrives Friday afternoon around 2 p.m., and it's then that the Jennifer Lopez details should be forthcoming.

It's official — her new deal on “American Idol" — but it's never really official until the news release and executives say so.

There was never any chance that she would leave, but Fox certainly didn't want to be in the awkward position of  batting away questions about its “Idol” judging panel just as another potentially new huge franchise — "The X Factor" — is also about to arrive.
